Telangana High Court puts stay on Amitabh Bachchan's film 'Jhund'

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan remains in the discussions due to his movies and his statements. The Telangana High Court has stayed the release of Amitabh Bachchan's next film 'Jhund'. After the court's order, the film is not going to release in theatres or any digital platform. The movie got stuck in the copyright issue. Hyderabad-born filmmaker Nandi Chinni Kumar claim that they have the exclusive rights for the movie. The court has taken the decision while hearing Nandi Kumar's plea.

The petitioner, Nandi Kumar claims of selling the rights to Paul only to make a documentary, while a movie has been made on it. He said that the makers of 'Jhund' had called him and informed him that they have purchased the rights of the film from Akhilesh, but they did not tell any of the documents. According to media reports, Amitabh Bachchan will play the role of a football coach who teaches football to children living in slums. He is the founder of an NGO named 'Soccer Slum'. 

Akash Rajguru and Pinku will be seen in the movie along with Amitabh Bachcha. This superhit pair had worked together in the movie 'Sairat'. 'Jhund' will be directed by Nagaraj Manjule and the movie is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishna Kumar. The movie was due to be released on May 8 before the lockdown. But now the release of this movie has been stopped.
