AIADMK leader PH Pandian has alleged that J Jayalalithaa’s death was “unnatural” and must be probed. Pandian claimed he had read media reports that Jayalalithaa was injured in a clash on 22 September and was rushed to the hospital to avoid suspicion. PH Pandian, AIADMK leader said that "I came to know Jayalalithaa was depressed and she had an argument with someone at Poes Garden. She collapsed at her residence as someone pushed her. She was taken to the hospital to avoid suspicion." On February 28, The AIADMK faction that supports former Tamil Nadu chief minister O Panneerselvam met President Pranab Mukherjee in the national capital and demanded a thorough probe into the death of late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa.
