Bengaluru: Upparpet police in Bengaluru has registered a case against an unidentified woman for kidnapping 8-month-old baby of a blind couple. The unidentified woman abducted the baby at the Majestic Bus Terminus when the couple arrived in the city from Raichur to visit a relative. The incident happened when the couple reached Platform 19D to catch a bus to Mysuru Road. also read On bearing a grudge, a 8-year-old boy allegedly killed toddler to take revenge Here it is to be noted that according to a report in Times of India, the baby's mother BK Chinnu said a woman came to her on the pretext of helping her baby feed the water. After sometime, both her baby and the woman were missing from the spot. The couple looked for the baby with the help of people, but could not locate the child. The police have formed a team and are scanning the CCTV footage to identify the accused woman. Bengaluru city has reported a number of cases related to child kidnapping. On April 19, a three-year-of girl was rescued by Sampigehalli police three days after she was kidnapped. The girl was abducted when she was playing outside her house. Hailing from Raichur, the girl's parents worked as labourer near Sampigehalli. However it is worth mention here that the kidnappers were identified as Ramesh and Manjunath. The accused were apprehended when the bike they used for the crime was identified with the help of CCTV footage. One of the accused Ramesh said he decided to kidnap the child because he didn't have a child of his own. In January, the Jnana Bharati police arrested the kidnappers of a 11-month-old girl from near Salem in neighbouring Tamil Nadu within 24 hours of the crime.
