An auto driver named Mohd. Jaweed, 38has been arrested for stealing mobile phones. He was arrested 10 times in the past by different police stations said P.V. Padmaja, DCP Shamshabad. police charged him under section 380 of IPC he was previously arrested by Raidurgam, Madhapur and Meerpet poilce in the past and a case has been registered at Rajendranagar. Soon he will be presented to the court after the police file the charge sheet against him. Police will find out if he alone does this work or a complete gang is involved in this. He has been stealing cellphones since 2009. He was imprisoned by the Rajendranagar police on Friday at Aramgarh cross road. The officials recovered 30 cell phones, laptop and cash, all amounting to Rs 4.5 lakh. Cellphones from brands like Apple, Lenovo, Moto, Vivo and Oppo were recovered. Jaweed hails from China Chintakunta and lives in Tukkuguda. Jaweed had stolen cell phones in the past from Saroornagar, LB Nagar, Mailardevpally, Jubilee Hills, SR Nagar and others. After serving his jail term, he would again commit theft in areas coming under Cyberabad and Rachakonda commissioners, with another person, Balveer Singh whom he met in jail during one of his jail stints.
