Internet pack of just Rs 36 offered by BSNL

The State-owned telecommunications company BSNL lacerated three-fourth rates of internet packs. The company has brought down the rates of per GB data.

“Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has decided to offer up to four times extra data on existing data STVs (special tariff vouchers) available in the market,” the company stated. Under Rs 291 pack, users will be benefitted with four times more data at 8GB which was 2GB previously for 28 days plan. Under Rs 78, 2GB will be offered.

For a special pack, the rate is as low as Rs 36. “With these offers, BSNL is now offering data at the rate of Rs 36 per GB which is one of the lowest in the Industry,” the company quoted. “We are committed to providing affordable mobile services for all segments of the prepaid mobile customers. These offers will be valid from 6 February 2017, on a pan-India basis,”  R K Mittal, BSNL board director said as per the source.

Though BSNL presides over the broadband market in fixed line services and ranks fifth in mobile broadband, the company still falls back in providing a wireless network. The cost to be invested in the same is too heavy for the company and now looking forward to the alternatives.
