Kejriwal govt; 17,000 salary to Maulanas, Anganwadi workers not paid for 3 months?

New Delhi: Just 1 km from CM Arvind Kejriwal's house in Delhi, Anganwadi workers have been protesting for the past 17 days. It is alleged that Anganwadi workers are made to work like slaves and are not paid for three months. These women are demanding that their salaries be increased and the old dues should also be cleared at the earliest. Let me tell you that there are about 22,000 Anganwadi women in Delhi at present.

Anganwadi workers are also protesting against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and his policies in the poll-bound states of Punjab and Goa. Women say that on the one hand, Arvind Kejriwal talks about women empowerment and on the other hand, the women of Delhi have been sitting on the streets for the last 17 days asking for their rights, the voice of which is not reaching the ears of the CM and his government. The women say that Kejriwal is lying about Anganwadi women by going to Punjab. Since 2017, the Delhi government has not raised a single penny of Anganwadi women out of its mind. For this also, they had to stage a dharna, after which their salary was increased. At present, Anganwadi workers are given a salary of Rs.9,678 and the helpers Rs.4,839.

Women say that whenever the government has to get the work done, the Anganwadi workers are pushed forward and the government backs down on the demand for a salary hike. Now until their salary is increased, this demonstration will continue like this. The women are demanding that the salary of Anganwadi workers be increased to Rs 25,000 and that of helpers to Rs 20,000. He says that in the current salary, he is having a lot of problems in running a household-family. Anganwadi workers say that in the Corona period, they were going from house to house giving ration to the people, giving primary education, but still today they are not being heard. One of the protesters said that a lot of work was done by them in the Corona period. The houses where the deaths were taking place were sent for the survey, but they were neither given masks nor sanitisers. During this time, he also played the role of doctor.

BJP MP from Delhi Pravesh Sahib Singh Verma has cornered the Kejriwal government over the issue. He shared a video on Twitter and wrote, "Kejriwal also has a budget to pay a salary of Rs 15,000 per month to the clerics in Delhi, but throughout the corona period, the mothers and sisters of Anganwadi were engaged day and night in corona vaccination to save the public, but Kejriwal has no time or budget to listen to them.''
