Andhra Pradesh: BJP is eyeing to gain momentum in the state; did this!

The largest party of India, BJP is now eyeing on gaining momentum in the state of Andhra. The party is leaving no stone unturned to strengthen its base in the state as it recently constituted a 40-member committee on Sunday. Two of the former Telugu Desam ministers, Ravela Kishore Babu and Adinarayana Reddy, who joined the BJP, were among 10 leaders elected by the party for the responsible post of vice-presidents. The other leaders who got appointed as vice presidents are Vishnu Kumar Raju of Visakhapatnam, Relangi Sridevi of Rajahmundry, Kaku Vijayalakshmi of Nellore, Malathi Rani of Eluru, Nimmala Jayaraju of Paravathipuram, Pydi Venugopal of Srikakulam, P. Surender Reddy and Chandramouli of Kurnool.

P.V.N. Madhav, Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Suryanarayana Raju, N. Madhukar and L. Gandhi were appointed as party state general secretaries. S. Uma Maheswari, Kandrika Uma, Mattam Santhi Kumari, A. Kamala and K. Chiranjeevi Reddy were appointed state secretaries. G. Bhanu Prakash Reddy, Pudi Thirupathi Rao, Suhasini Anand, Chandu Sambashiva Rao, K. Anjaneya Reddy and S. Srinivas were appointed as party spokespersons, while the party elected V. Satyamurthy for the post of treasurer and P. Srinivas as office secretary.

The BJP which is eyeing to emerge as a major political force in AP is making its presence felt whenever an opportunity presented itself. For example, it immediately caught upon the Antarvedi temple chariot burning incident. Vishnuvardhan Reddy said that the BJP gave representation to all sections of the society in the state committee. “We will strive hard to bring the BJP to power in AP under the leadership of party chief Somu Veerraju. We will fight for the public cause and play the role of a responsible political party,” he said.
