Port Blair: The number of infected people in the Union Territory has increased to 7,280 after 11 new cases of corona infection were reported in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This information was given in a bulletin issued by the health department. According to the bulletin, four of the new cases that have surfaced were recently visited and the other seven have been found infected in order to identify people who came in contact with the infected. On the other hand, the number of people who have been freed from infection has increased to 7049 after 15 more people recovered. According to him, 105 people are currently undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the Union Territory. No new case of infection death has been reported in the last 24 hours and the death toll remains at 126. The Andaman and Nicobar Islands administration has so far tested more than 3.97 lakh samples for covid-19. The rate of infected samples is 1.83 percent. The official said about 1.33 lakh people have received anti-Covid-19 vaccines in the Union Territory so far. Meanwhile, the country has seen a slight increase in daily cases of corona virus. In the last 24 hours, 62,224 new cases of corona virus have been registered in the country, while 2,542 patients have succumbed to the deadly virus. After 1,07,628 new discharges, the total discharge number increased to 2,83,88,100. The total number of active cases in the country is 8,65,432.
