Andy Murray withdrew himself from ATP Rogers Cup

The player  Andy Murray has withdrawn from next week's ATP Rogers Cup in Montreal due to the hip injury from which he is yet to recover.

"I am sad to be missing the tournament in Montreal because I have many great memories from my time in Canada," Sport24 quoted Murray as saying in a statement. "I am doing everything I can to return as quickly as possible."

Stan Wawrinka also pulled out Wednesday with a knee injury. Maria Sharapova on Thursday withdrew from the event.
