Hollywood star Angelina Jolie has expressed that for her, "nothing else matters" aside from being a mother. Her main focus is on raising her six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. In an interview on 'Good Morning America,' Jolie, who co-parents her children with ex-husband Brad Pitt, discussed her upcoming role as opera legend Maria Callas in the movie Maria. When asked if there's anything in her life that parallels the passion Callas had for singing, Jolie responded, "My motherhood ... It’s my happiness. You can take everything else away from me ... Nothing else matters." Some of her children are following their own paths behind the scenes in the entertainment industry. Maddox and Pax have already been involved in movie production work, while Vivienne recently assisted her mother in putting together the Broadway show The Outsiders. However, Jolie is firm that none of her kids have any interest in pursuing fame. She said, "None of my children want to be in front of the camera at this time. They are quite private. Shiloh's extremely private. They weren't born with privacy, right? So I hope they can have that as they grow." Jolie's comments came just as she shared her thoughts about potentially winning an Oscar for her portrayal of Callas. Despite having won an Academy Award for her role in the 1999 film Girl, Interrupted, she described her time working on Maria as "the experience of a lifetime." While she acknowledges that the Oscar buzz around her performance is flattering, Jolie said the real reward has been the opportunity to bring Callas' story to life with a talented team. Reflecting on the Oscar speculation, she told Best UK magazine, "It means a lot that somebody thinks you did a good job. That kind of stuff is exciting and very, very nice. But I'm just so happy we were able to do this film. I'm genuinely so happy." She added, "I know it sounds like people say this, but really, this was an experience of a lifetime. I learned to sing and I embodied a woman that I respect. I was able to work with this extraordinary team of people. I feel like I've already been given the greatest gift. The audience seemed to respond well to it. So, anything else is a dream, but I'm so grateful already."
