Ankita Topal’s success story: Uttarakhand girl who proves destiny is not etched in hands, its written with hardwork!

It is not the lines on your palm that reveals your destiny, it is the hard work, perseverance and dedication all throughout that decides your fate in the end! And this is yet again proven by Ankita Topal, daughter of the mountains. The saying ultimately goes right, “Do not trust the lines etched on your hands, for those who do not have hands, still have a fate.”

Ankita Topal of Chamoli district, Uttarakhand has emerged as an inspiration for all those who often curse their fate and the shortcoming in life. This young girl is disabled by birth, yet choses to fight every day. Ankita has cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) twice and has even qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) exam. She not only cleared the JRF, but also secured All India Rank 2 in the exam.

Despite being disabled, Ankita never lets her weakness come in the way of her aspirations. She doesn’t have both of her hands since birth, she writes with her feet.

Ankita Topal hails from Didoli village, Karnaprayag block of Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Until 10th standard, she did her initial schooling from Dewal development block following the intermediate in Rishikesh. For higher education, Ankita went to study in Dehradun, where she also pursued her Post Graduation (PG) in History.

Ankita’s family is overjoyed after her achievement, with their happiness knowing no bounds. Her father, Prem Singh Topal who is an instructor at ITI, Tehri also reflected upon her achievements. The way Ankita never allowed her weakness take over her desire to achieve everything in life. How the young girl has always excelled in her studies, clearing NET, and now JRF, the family is proud of Ankita!
