CHENNAI: It has been reported that Anna University has withheld the results of more than half the students leaving in dark, particularly those from colleges in Tier-II areas, who took up the November/December 2020 semester examinations, for reasons including “double-checking” that the candidates have not indulged in “malpractice” This has led to perplexity and complaints of being seen in bad light among the students. As per the latest updates, around 40% of the students from each institute face the issue. The results were released on April 11, 2021. Still, many engineering colleges affiliated with Anna University have said that the November-December semester examination results have been withheld for many students. Anna University mentioned either “withheld” or “withheld for clarification” or “results under process” as the reason for not declaring the scores of the students. Nearly 1.5 students have been barred from checking Anna University Results 2020. Usually, the result gets withheld when colleges do not pay the examination fee, sometimes if malpractice is being suspected. Students are bewildered as this time, Anna University Results 2020 are being withheld for many without any constructive reasons. A large section of the students said that the marks awarded to them should have been higher. This dilemma raised a matter of concern among the students as it may affect their placements and higher education opportunities.
