Iran's anti-hijab violence intensified, Musk said- will activate Starlink...

Tehran: Protests in Iran have been raging since the murder of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini by police. Firing and force are being used by the security forces to crush the protest, in which about 40 people have died. The Iranian government has banned the internet over anti-hijab protests by women. Also, Instagram and WhatsApp have also been banned in Muslim country. So, the voice of women opposing the hijab does not reach the people of the world and the demonstration is crushed by force in Iran itself.

Meanwhile, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has announced that he is activating satellite internet service Starlink in Iran. Tesla CEO and SpaceX founder Elon Musk said on Friday (September 23) that he is activating satellite internet service Starlink amid the internet shutdown in Iran over anti-hijab protests. Musk has said this while responding to the tweet of a senior US official. Reacting to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken's tweet, Musk said that he is activating Starlink in Iran.

Let us know that even after US sanctions on Iran's nuclear program, the Joe Biden government of America issued guidelines to expand internet services for Iranians on Friday. According to media reports, the US official said that there is no need to get a license for Starlink. It will be commercial, for which they will need to write to the Treasury. Later, the US Department of Defense said that any person who completes the criteria outlined in this general license can proceed without requesting additional permission.
