Anti-Terrorism Day was pragmatic at the Assam secretariat complex on Saturday in the attendance of Chief Secretary V K Pipersenia, senior officials and employees. On the event the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary T Y Das beside with other senior officials and employees of the secretariat paid floral mark of respect to the portrait of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. They too took a vow administered by the chief secretary against terrorism as well as to support and encourage peace and social harmony. May 21 is observed athwart the country as Anti-Terrorism Day in the memory of Rajiv Gandhi who was assassinated by terrorists on this day in 1991.
