Apple is preparing to release the next generation of its Apple Vision Pro headset, expected to arrive between late 2025 and early 2026. According to a recent update from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the updated device will feature the new M5 processor, along with several internal improvements, while maintaining a similar design to the current model. The company plans to first introduce the updated Vision Pro before launching a more affordable version, which is not expected until at least 2027. This delay is due to the view that simply creating a cheaper version would not significantly impact sales expectations. Apple is also exploring the development of "smart glasses," a concept that has already been demonstrated by Meta. This move could expand its offerings in the mixed reality market. The second-generation Apple Vision Pro is expected to generate excitement with its upgraded features, right at the beginning of the M5 chip's lifecycle. However, a completely new version of the device is not anticipated until after 2027.
