CHENNAI: AR Rahman, the acclaimed Oscar-winning musician, found himself in hot water as his recent concert in Chennai, titled "Marakkuma Nenjam," fell victim to severe mismanagement. On a fateful Sunday, hordes of enthusiastic AR Rahman enthusiasts flocked to the outskirts of the city, eagerly anticipating the musical spectacle that awaited them. However, their excitement soon turned into frustration, with scores of ticket-holding fans being denied entry due to severe overcrowding at the venue.

A wave of discontent swept across social media as disgruntled fans took to various platforms to voice their dismay. They shared videos and images showcasing the plight of fellow AR Rahman admirers and directed their ire at the musician's team for orchestrating a dismal event. One aggrieved individual on a social media platform, X, lamented, "Fans who had shelled out 2000 rupees for tickets were left stranded outside the ARR concert venue @arrahman," accompanied by a video depicting the congested entry gates. Another vented, "This concert was an utter shambles in terms of organization. It felt like a complete waste of money and energy. I experienced an overwhelming sense of betrayal, surrounded by clashes and chaos. The sound quality was abysmal, to say the least."

A disappointed AR Rahman devotee added, "This has undoubtedly been the worst concert in history. #ARRahman #Scam2023 by #ACTC. Let's uphold the principles of humanity. Today, the fan in me, after three decades of unwavering support, was left disillusioned, Mr. #ARRAHMAN. #MarakkumaNenjam has left an indelible mark of disappointment. From the stage, the performer couldn't even grasp the turmoil unfolding in other sections; it was simply disheartening."
