Army Chief Narwane arrives in Poonch amid growing terrorist attacks in Kashmir

Leh: Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukand Narwane is on a crucial visit to Jammu today. Today, he also visited the Forward Area near the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district and met the soldiers. In the meantime, he sought information from the officers about the security situation and counter-terror operations.

His two-day visit assumes importance in view of the increasing terror incidents in the Valley over the past few days. Tell us that in Poonch and Rajouri, the army is conducting a massive anti-terror operation to eliminate terrorists. Army Chief MM Narwane will also attend several important meetings on security issues in Jammu. In the meantime, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the White Night Corps will brief them on the security situation and the campaign preparedness.

Let u tell you that the new terror outfits that are flourishing in Jammu and Kashmir are again creating panic among the people. Non-Kashmiris are being killed and threatened to leave the state. Two non-local workers were shot dead and another injured by militants in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday. This was the third terrorist attack on non-local workers in less than 24 hours in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier, a street vendor from Bihar and a carpenter from Uttar Pradesh were shot dead by terrorists on Saturday evening.
