New Delhi: An encounter between security forces and terrorists has started in Waghama village under Bijbehra of South Kashmir. 2 terrorists have been killed in this encounter. Police of Kashmir zone tweeted that the encounter started in the Wagah area of Anantnag. JKP and security forces are on the spot. A police officer said that a joint team of police, 3RR army and CRPF conducted a cordon and search operation on intelligence input regarding the presence of terrorists in the area. As soon as the joint team of security forces surrounded the suspicious place, the hidden terrorists opened fire on the search party, after which the encounter started. Kashmir police has also confirmed the encounter between security forces and terrorists. This is the 14th encounter in South Kashmir in the month of June in which 38 terrorists have been killed so far. Since the beginning of terrorism in Kashmir, in a month, most terrorists have been killed in the month of June this year. The total number of terrorists killed this year has reached 118 so far. It is also being told that one of the slain terrorists was the one who attacked CRPF's patrolling team on 26 June. The attack took place in Padshahi Bagh in which a young Veergati was received and a 5-year-old child was killed. On the same day, the police identified the attacker and named him Zahid Das.
