New Delhi: LK Advani was born on this day in 1927 in the Sindhi family of Karachi, undivided Pakistan. His father Kishan Chand Advani was a businessman. His mother's name was Smt Giani Devi. After the partition of India and the emergence of an Islamic country in the form of Pakistan, Advani's family immigrated to India. LK Advani is that strong face, who also laid the foundation of the Bharatiya Janata Party, and through his own efforts, managed to take the party to the heights. Advani started his political career by joining the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in 1941 at the young age of 14. After this, he devoted his whole life to the establishment of the RSS and BJP. Advani was the 7th Deputy Prime Minister of the country from 2002 to 2004 under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In 2015, he was awarded the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian honour. LK Advani served as Home Minister in the government of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee from 1998 to 2004. At the same time, after the demolition of Babri Masjid in the year 1992, LK Advani was also among the people in whose name the FIR was registered. Since then, his stature in Indian politics has increased. LK Advani is considered to be the architect of the Ram Janmabhoomi campaign, which has tied all the Hindus of India in one thread. Because in the year 1990, Advani started his first Rath Yatra for the Ram temple in Ayodhya. The current Prime Minister and then BJP worker Narendra Modi was also involved in this Rath Yatra.
