172 new corona patients found in Arunachal Pradesh, total 115 killed so far

Itanagar: The number of infected people in Arunachal Pradesh has increased to 26,950 on Monday with 172 new cases of corona infection. While the death toll due to infection of a woman has increased to 115. A senior health department official has informed about this. State Monitoring Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said that the capital complex area has the highest number of 52 cases.

This is followed by Lower Subansiri (20) and Upper Subansiri and Tawang (17-17). He said the 74-year-old woman succumbed to an infection at Corona Hospital in Tawang district. The state is currently treating 3,783 patients while 23,052 people have recovered so far. These include 306 people recovered on Sunday. Jampa said the recovery rate in the state is 84.54 per cent. The capital complex area has the highest number of 696 active cases. This is followed by Tawang (453) and Changlang (438). The Capital Complex area covers Itanagar, Naharlagun, Nirjuli, and Bandardeva areas. More than 5.80 lakh samples have been tested in the state so far, including 4,356 samples tested on Sunday.

State vaccination Officer Dr. Dimong Padung has informed that 3.41 lakh people have been vaccinated so far. In view of the increase in cases of infection from corona virus, the state government has extended lockdown in seven districts for a week till June 7.
