Itanagar: The number of infected people in Arunachal Pradesh has increased to 32,692 after corona virus infection was confirmed in 209 people. A senior health official said that the death toll due to the death of another patient suffering from Covid-19 on Friday has increased to 159. State Monitoring Officer Dr Lobsang Jampa informed that a 65-year-old man undergoing treatment in a separate residence at a corona-stricken house in Changlang died of pneumonia. The capital complex area received the highest number of 39 cases of infection. On the other hand, 22-22 cases were found in Changlang and East Siang. 20 cases were registered from West Kameng, 16 from Namsai and 10 from East Kameng. SSO reported that other cases are from other districts. The official said that 109 of the new patients were confirmed by rapid antigen tests, nine confirmed by RT-PCR tests and three by truenat tests, including 121 people with signs of infection. Jampa said 2,599 patients are currently undergoing treatment in Arunachal Pradesh. The recovery of at least 314 patients on Friday has increased the number of recoverers to 29,934. The current rate of recovery is 91.56 percent, while the transition rate is 3.64 per cent. A total of 7,06,494 samples have been examined with 5,733 samples examined on Friday, Jampa reported. However, State Immunization Officer Dr. Dimong Padung has informed that 120,280 people have been vaccinated against covid-19 so far.
