New Delhi: Kapil Sibal, who quit the Congress and filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha polls with the support of samajwadi party, has praised congress working president Sonia Gandhi. "I had met national president Sonia Gandhi before leaving the Congress and her behaviour was cordial towards me. Talking to the media about his resignation from the party, Kapil Sibal said, "It was not easy to resign from the Congress. Leaving the family was not easy. But you have to make a decision at a time. The Congress has given me a lot, but I have always been recognized as an independent voice. I have filed my nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha elections as an independent candidate and the Samajwadi Party (SP) is supporting me. ' Kapil Sibal, a former Union minister and a lawyer by profession, further said, "I resigned from the Congress membership on May 16 itself. On the meeting with Congress Supremo Sonia Gandhi, Kapil Sibal said, "It was a personal meeting and his behaviour was very good towards me.
