Hyderabad: PM Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi is in the news these days. In fact, a survey is being done of many deities including Kashi Vishwanath and Shringar Gauri located in the Gyanvapi mosque complex. This survey is being done on the orders of the Senior Judge Division of Varanasi. Now the politics in this matter has also intensified. AIMIM chief and Hyderabad Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi has said on this issue that the survey of Gyanvapi Masjid is a violation of the law. Owaisi further said that the order to survey the Gyanvapi mosque in Kashi is a blatant violation of the Places of Worship Act of 1991. He further said that in the Ayodhya verdict, the Supreme Court had said that the Act protects the secular features of India, which is one of the basic features of the Constitution. Owaisi also termed the survey's decision as an opening of the way for anti-Muslim violence. Owaisi further said that it is unfortunate that the Supreme Court is being openly disregarded by the court. Owaisi accused the court of opening the way for bloodshed and anti-Muslim violence during the Rath Yatra of the 1980s-1990s. On Friday, when the team reached Varanasi to conduct the survey, the Muslim crowd gathered at the spot and shouted slogans. People from the Muslim community had already objected to the videography. However, when the Muslims started shouting, the other side also started shouting slogans. But the police removed everyone from the spot. Videography is still to take place in the premises of Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Gyanvapi Mosque. Political war in Bihar!
