Airtel has released an advertisement for its service and alleged the Airtel services as the fastest service network in India. Later, Reliance Jio filed a complaint against Airtel and speed testing company Ookla too. Ookla said that Jio’s allegations about the misleading advertisement are wrong and Airtel is the fastest network in India. However, when this matter reached to Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI), it supported Reliance Jio and ordered Airtel to remove the advertisements. Airtel rejected the order by ASCI and given the statement, “We do not agree with ASCI’s decision and will file an appeal as per guidelines. Our campaign is based on findings by Ookla – the globally recognized leader in mobile speed tests and also a benchmark for reputed global operators. We have shared all supporting facts with ASCI and strongly believe that our campaign is compliant with all guidelines. We will be happy to provide more details, if required, and hope ASCI will reconsider its decision.” Also Read: Now, Idea postpaid users can avail per day 1GB 4G data offer OnePlus’ April fool day prank, dash drink cuts the sleep from 8hr a day to ½ hr a day Reliance Jio announces ‘Gudi Padwa’ offer, free data and services offers extended till April 15
