Islamabad: The former federal minister of Islamabad, Chaudhry Fawad Hussain, cited the Shahbaz Sharif-led nation's "imported" administration as the reason for Pakistan's loss to India in the second match of the Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai. The former Pakistani minister for information and broadcasting claimed on Twitter that the current administration is "manhoos," not the team, for losing the match in Dubai (unlucky). "It`s not the team`s fault, the imported government is unlucky," Fawad Hussain said in a tweet (roughly translated from Urdu). There has been ‘n’ number of stories of the Pakistani government's disregard for its athletes. It should be recalled that earlier this month when covering the Commonwealth Games, Shiraz Hassan of Pakistan's media contrasted the mannerisms of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to those of politicians from his neighbour. India presents their athletes in this manner. Pooja Gehlot received the bronze medal and expressed regret over not receiving the gold, to which PM Modi reacted. Ever seen a PM or President of Pakistan send such a message? Athletes from Pakistan are winning medals—does anyone there even realise this? Hassan posted a tweet. Social media users around the world praised Prime Minister Modi for his inspiring leadership after he made a gesture in which he informed a broken-hearted athlete that her bronze medal from the Commonwealth Games called for celebration, not an apology. With KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma leaving the game early, the cricket match appeared to be lagging at first. However, the game picked up as Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya led India towards victory little by little. At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, India defeated Pakistan by five wickets in the opening game of the 2022 Asia Cup thanks to a pivotal partnership between Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya. Jadeja scored 35 runs, and Pandya scored 33* runs in 17 balls. Mohammad Nawaz took three wickets for Pakistan, and Naseem Shah took two. India's attempt to chase down 148 runs got off to a horrible start when they lost their opener, KL Rahul before they had even scored a run. Virat Kohli, who is playing his 100th T20I today, came to the crease when Rahul was dismissed.
