Asian Championship;Indian Wushu team grabs 9 medals !

The Indian Contigent won 9 medals,including 4 silver and 5 bronze at the 9th Asian Wushu Championships 2016. However India stood 21st  when it came to ranking.

The Championship were held recently from September 1 to Sepetember 5 at Taoyuan in Taiwan.  Around 38 nations attented the competetion.

India bagged 9 medals in the following categories :-

L.Budhachandra Singh - Silver medalist in 56 kg category. Praveen Kumar - Silver medalist in 48 kg finals. K Arunpama Devi - Silver medalist in 60 kg Rajinder Singh - Silver medalist in 90 kg Yumnam Sanothai Devi - Bronze medalist in 52 kg Pooja Kadian - Bronze medalist in  65 kg Rajani Deori - Bronze medalist in 75 kg Vishakha Malik - Bronze medalist in 70 kg Uchit Sharma - Bronze medalist in 75 kg.

This is a great news for all the sports fans in India. If wushu becomes an olympic sports India has a chance of grabbing some medals and becoming one of the Champion countries in the world.
