Indore: A number of changes have been made in the country in the recent past, while the world's fifth longest high speed track after Germany, Italy and the US has been built at Netrex in Pithampur, Indore. It is the longest track in Asia with an Oval Shape of 11.30 km long, 16 m wide and 4 lane. The bend can have a speed of 308 kmph, while there is no capacity on the direct lane. Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday inaugurated the virtual inauguration and has taken a major decision towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of a self-reliant India. He said that after the construction of this track, super cars manufactured in India and companies manufacturing cars abroad will also adopt this track for testing super cars under Indian conditions. Union Minister of State Arjun Ram Meghwal was also present on the occasion. Features of track:- It is the longest track in Asia with an 11.30 km long, 16-meter-wide and four-lane Oval Shape. This can test most of the speed of high end category car like BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Tesla etc. The track, which has oval shape, has a capacity of a normal testing speed of 250 KMPH. Most of its speed on the straight line has no limit. The track was recently tested by a Lenbargini car with a speed of 308 kmph on its curve. 30,000 crore auto sector turnover in Pithampur every year:- Pithampur is the largest auto sector in Central India. There are large groups like Volvo Eicher, Hindustan Motors Avtech, Mahindra, Force Motors etc. 20,000 people work in this sector. Pithampur was established in 1984-85.
