Assam Assembly Election 1st phase begins today

The first phase of election in Assam has started contesting between the ruling Congress party and the BJP-AGP-BPF alliance. Today, Sixty-five of the 126 Assembly constituencies in Assam go to the polls to decide the 539 candidate.

In which already ruling government’s Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi is trying his fate along with BJP candidate Sarbananda Sonowal.

As per reports says ruling BJP has a winning chance only in Assam. The pale are high for key national and regional players. where it has stitched an alliance with the Asom Gana Parishad and the Bodoland People’s Front. The saffron party likes to see this as an “indigenous people’s” alliance.
