As per Source information, In Assam the BJP plan to contest in 92 seats out of the 126 seats in the Assam Assembly, Including 26 from the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and eight to the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL). Here it is speculated that a in BJP alliance local party will merge with the BJP and some of candidates of that party will contest on the BJP symbol. While it is saying that initially BJP was finalised 84 BJP candidates then increase it. So here has been finalised, and that more details on seats and names of candidates are likely to be announced on Friday. Meanwhile, In this election race some leaders won’t get opportunity to contest. In this two-time former Chief Minister and six-time MLA Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, who is also the founder of the party, might not get a ticket this time. Mr Mahanta is currently unwell and undergoing treatment in Delhi. However, he has fallen out with the current AGP leadership on the subject of the controversial citizenship law.
