Assam Assembly polls: Tickets to BJP candidates based on survey results: Ranjeet Dass

The BJP party is leaving no stone unturned in preparing for the 2021 Assam Assembly election. The BJP is currently busy in distributing tickets. Party’s state chief Ranjeet Kumar Dass said that BJP will give tickets to those aspiring to contest the 2021 Assam Assembly election from the party, based on the results of the survey.

Das told reporters in Silchar on Thursday, “Neither the chief minister nor the NEDA convener can affirm tickets to the candidates. We are conducting a four-tier survey and responses based on the survey shall determine who deserves to contest in the elections,” Dass was on a visit to south Assam to assess the preparations for the ensuing election.

He further said the saffron party has adopted the Sonai constituency of Cachar district as a model and decided to field as many as seven candidates from the minority community across the State. Asked whether former Minister Gautam Roy will be the face of Katigorah constituency, Dass said that such talks do not matter much and candidates will be chosen based only on the results of the survey.
