Guwahati: When the final list of Assam NRC was released on 31 August, the names of 19 lakh people were not included in this list. These 19 lakh people will have one more opportunity to prove their citizenship. The Assam government has said that those who are not included in the list have no need to panic. Such people will be able to give proof of their citizenship within the time limit of 120 days. These people will have to go to the center of foreign tribunals to prove their citizenship. At present, there are 100 foreign tribunals in Assam, while 200 more such tribunals will be set up by the government. Simultaneously, the Assam government is also setting up a detention center in the state, there is a plan to keep those detention centers, whose name will not figure in the NRC list even after using every constitutional option.
