Dispur: A senior police officer Kumar Sanjit Krishna in Assam was Thursday arrested in connection with the leak of a question paper in a police recruitment examination. superintendent of police Kumar Sanjit Krishna is the brother of the state chief secretary. Till Sunday, he was SP of the border district of Karimganj where the question paper was allegedly leaked at his behest in his residence in the presence of other accused persons in the scam. Some of the accused in this case have already been arrested. SP Krishna is the highest ranked serving officer of the Assam government arrested so far in the paper leak scam that has rocked the state. The opposition is continously attacking the goverbnment over this issue. Talking to PTI, a senior official told that Krishna was arrested after completing his medical check up, which was done following a series of marathon interrogation over the last few days. The official said that the Krishan will be produced before a court tomorrow and we will seek his custody. According to the source, Sanjit Krishna, who was suspected to be missing on Wednesday, reached the state police headquarters at around 11 am and was quizzed by the Assam police. Let us tell you that the State Level Police Recruitment Board has rescheduled the exam on November 22.
