The first phase of polling in Bengal is going to run from 7 am to 6:30 pm. With this, polling is going to be held in Assam from 7 am to 6 pm. The election commission has extended the time to cast their votes this time. With this, the first phase of voting is going to be held in 47 seats in Assam today. In fact, there are 126 assembly seats in Assam, out of which 47 seats are to be voted for the first phase. The seats are in 12 districts of upper Assam and the north bank of Brahmaputra.
