Asus launches ZenFone Max With Snapdragon 615 SoC

Asus has launched a new version of Zenfone Max with a new processor and two storage options starting at Rs 9,999. While the design profile stays the same, the smartphone features new specifications under the hood. It is available in two variants based on 2GB and 3GB RAM capacity, which cost Rs 9,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively.

Asus Zenfone Max is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor and comes with 32GB ROM (expandable up to 64GB via microSD card). Asus says that the 5000 mAh battery in Zenfone Max provides 914.4 hours of standby time or 37.5 hours of 3G talk time or 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing. The smartphone comes with an OTG cable that turns the device in to a charger. The smartphone is available in black, orange and blue colour variants. It has a textured leather pattern at the back and metal-like edges. Asus Zenfone Max runs Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 on top of company’s ZenUI.

The new phone has a 13 MP, f/2.0-aperture rear camera with the ASUS PixelMaster 2.0 technology and dual-LED flash. The Laser AF helps to focus on an object in 0.03 seconds. The front camera in ZenFone Max is 5 MP with f/2.0-aperture. The smartphone supports 4G LTE, GSM, GPRS,GPS, aGPS, Bluetooth V 4.0, WiFi and micro USB. The sensor in the phone includes Accelerator, E-Compass, Proximity, Hall sensor, and Ambient light sensor.
