Kolkata: Violence has continued in West Bengal since the results of assembly elections came out. Meanwhile, reports of some people attacking union minister V Muraleedharan's convoy in West Midnapore are coming to light. He has accused Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers of attacking him.
Union Minister Muraleedharan posted a video on Twitter and wrote, "TMC goons attacked my convoy in West Midnapore, broke windows, attacked private employees. I am reducing my journey. A four-member team of home ministry officials has arrived in Bengal today to investigate the ongoing violence in Bengal.'' Officials said on Thursday that a four-member team led by an additional secretary rank officer has been dispatched to West Bengal to assess the actual situation on violence after the elections in the state.
The team will assess the deteriorating violence situation in Bengal and submit a detailed report to the officials of the Union Home Ministry. The Home Ministry has also sought a report from the Governor of West Bengal on the law and order situation in the state.
