Attack was carried out by domestic terrorists incited by President Trump: Joe Biden

Washington DC: US President Donald Trump is receiving backlash from all around the world for inciting violence  Capitol Hill violence. President-elect Joe Biden, on Wednesday also blamed Trump for the violence and said that it was carried out by 'terrorists incited by President Trump'. 

Attacking Trump, Biden said, "This criminal attack was planned & coordinated. It was carried out by political extremists & domestic terrorists, who were incited to this violence by President Trump. It was an armed insurrection against the US and those responsible must be held accountable." This statement of Biden came shortly after Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives for the January 6 violence which witnessed deaths of five people. Trump became the first President in US history to be impeached twice.

On January 6, a group of Donald Trump's loyalists stormed the US Capitol building, clashing with the police, damaging property, seizing the inauguration stage and occupying the rotunda. Five people - four protesters and a police officer - were killed in the riots.
