CHENNAI: Karthik Subbaraj, a well-known producer and director of Tamil movies, revealed on Saturday that his company Stone Bench Films had entered the Malayalam cinema market with the upcoming movie "Attention Please" from Jithin Isaac Thomas. Karthik Subbaraj, who has directed a number of critically acclaimed superhit movies like the Rajinikanth-starring "Petta," "Jigarthanda," and "Pizza," among others, commented on Twitter: "We are delighted to announce that "Attention Please," produced by the talented Jithin Thomas and team, marks our entry into the Malayalam film industry. Kaarthekeyens is the producer, and the film opens in theatres on August 26." The well-known director also provided a link to the movie's trailer, which indicated that it would not only be intense but also likely to raise awareness of societal issues. The trailer opens with a person who is trying to make a movie telling everyone around him about the plot of his movie. He describes a mother who, following the death of her husband, struggles greatly to raise her son. The mother and son decide to visit a beach to commemorate the event after the son successfully completes his twelfth standard exams. Some beachgoers notice the mother and son and begin punching the son in an effort to learn more about their connection. The mother claims that the boy is her son, but others engaged in moral policing are not willing to accept her claim and instead build a garland out of slippers for both mother and youngster. When the youngster responds furiously, a rod is used to beat him.
