According to this report, it has been said, '500 cc bikes were initially made for the export market. The demand for 500 cc motorcycles in India increased when the company relaunched it in 2009 using a new lightweight unit construction engine platform. "Instead, the company will upgrade its 350cc range of motorcycles, which are in great demand," the report said. Since Royal Enfield's 350 cc models do not meet the upcoming new norms, the company will bring a new and updated range of 350 cc bikes with new engines to India.

According to company sources, the company is on track with its plans and will replace it with the rest of the portfolio in a mandatory time frame. However, the company did not confirm the discontinuation of its 500cc bikes and said that they would make announcements in a timely manner.
