SP leader Azam Khan critical but situation under control: Lucknow hospital

Lucknow: Veteran Samajwadi Party leader and Lok Sabha MP from Rampur Azam Khan's health has deteriorated again. Azam Khan has been placed on oxygen support. Medical Director, Medanta Hospital, Dr Rakesh Kapoor has informed that after a CT scan, Azam Khan's lungs have received a complaint of a disease called fibrosis. At the same time, cavity has also been found, which has increased their oxygen support today.

Fibrosis is a condition that causes wounds and stiffness in the lungs. This prevents the body from getting enough oxygen, causing difficulty in breathing. It can also cause heart disorders and other complications.  On the one hand, senior SP leader Azam Khan is in critical condition and has been kept under the supervision of expert doctors of Critical Care Medicine. On the other hand, Zafaryab Jilani, Secretary and Senior Advocate, Admit All India Muslim Personal Law Board at Medanta Hospital, has been removed from his ventilator support after his health improved on Monday.

However, they are still kept in ICU. He has been kept in the covid ward due to corona infection. Senior advocate Zafaryab Jilani, who was convener of the Babri Masjid Action Committee, had suddenly collapsed in the house on Thursday evening. He suffered severe head injuries. As a result, blood clots had accumulated in the front of his brain. Doctors successfully operated on Zafaryab Jilani on May 21 and separated the blood clot in the brain.
