Baar Baar Dekho directed by debutant director Nitya Mehra failed to impress the audience. Even the biggest hit song of the year 'Kala Chashma' could not save the movie. Siddharth on this note said, “Maybe we failed. But at least we tried something new. Now I know if I meet a first-time director, I’ll be wary. Or if I write a script, I’ll be thinking anxiously about whether it works for me as a member of the audience.”
Baar Baar Dekho is the failure for Siddharth after three back to back hits. But he takes it as experience for future. Sid is excited for his coming flick which is remake of 1969's hit Ittefaq starring Rajesh Khanna and Nanda, explained, “I am very excited about Ittefaq . It is a suspense thriller, a genre that people have forgotten. So we will be recreating it."
He is very positive regarding his career in Bollywood and claims, "I have not achieved much yet, but I am thankful for the kind of work I have got. Baar Baar Dekho had a message for youngsters, not to run after money. Similarly, in real life,I believe in working hard and that the money will follow.”
Ittefaq will feature Sonakshi Sinha opposite to Sid, which is produced by Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment, Karan Johar's Dharma Productions and BR Films.
