Kolkata: West Bengal MP Babul Supriyo, who recently announced his retirement from Saheb, will now continue in office. In fact, after meeting BJP national president JP Nadda on Monday (August 2), Babul Supriyo said, "He will continue to be an MP but will not play politics. The MP is a constitutional post. Babul said he would not even join any political party and continue to do social work.'' Supriyo further said that he is engaged in carrying out several development works in Asansol and will continue to do so. Babul said, 'I had told Nadda sir my words earlier. Today, again, I briefed him about my decision and said that I have taken the decision to quit and I cannot back down from it. They gave me a lot of love." Babul said, ''I will vacate the MP's bungalow in Delhi and free the security personnel from their work soon." According to reports, BJP MP Babul Supriyo had hinted at quitting the state through social media a few days ago. According to his own Facebook post, former Union minister Babul Supriyo had announced his retirement from politics. Supriyo wrote 'Goodbye' on Facebook. In the meantime, he had assured that he was not going to any other party. He has been elected as an MP from Asansol in West Bengal for the second time in a row.
