Badminton queen; Saina after four years again chasing her dreams !

Bangaluru,July 7: The pressure of competing in Olympics, the biggest spectacle in sports, is different. And India's number one badminton player - Saina Nehwal knows it.

Four years ago at the 2012 London Games, Saina Nehwal became the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympics medal.

Ahead of the 2016 Rio Games, she will be aiming to better the bronze she won, when she takes to the court in Rio de Janeiro next month.

In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, Saina talks about her aggression, her training schedule for the Rio Olympics, India's emergence as a badminton power and spending days away from home.

The 26 yeart old Hyderabadi,without hesitation asdmitted on Thursday that Olympic ill be the toughest Competition but she wants to play in Rio de Janeiro Games as if she is participating in a Super Series event.

But she knows people will remind her all the time it is not any other normal tournament. "It is an honour and wonderful experience for me and I would like to thank Hyundai for honouring me with the 1st Anniversay Edition of Creta.

It's motivation for every athlete to receive the recognition for his/her hard work and achievements.

I am quite confident and will give my best efforts in upcoming tournaments to bring pride to my nation," Saina said after the honour. Managing Director and CEO of Hyundai Motor India Limited, YK Koo, said, "Ms Saina is badminton icon of India.

Her consistent performance has elevated this sport's enthusiasam to a great level of admiration among the badminton lovers globally."
