Bajaj Auto becomes most valuable two-wheeler company in the world

Leading auto giant Bajaj Auto become the first two-wheeler brand in the world to cross a market capitalisation of ₹1-lakh crore (converts to about USD 13.6 billion). 

The Pune-based two-wheeler maker announced that it has become the first two-wheeler company in the world to cross a market capitalisation of ₹1-lakh crore. In a recent press note, it said that this market valuation is greater as compared to all the domestic two-wheeler brands. The company added that it has achieved the feat as it celebrates the 75th year of its operations.  It also added that as per analysts, the market capitalisation of over ₹1-lakh crore has never been achieved by any international two-wheeler company till date. On Friday, Bajaj Auto’s market shares closed at ₹3,479 on NSE contributing to a market capitalization of ₹1,00,670.76 crore.

Meanwhile, Popular Two-wheeler maker Royal Enfield has registered a rise of 37%  in the last month of 2020.  The company on Friday announced that it has a rise of 37% in December sales. The retro-classic bike maker recorded an overall sales of 68,995 units last month as against 50,416 units sold in the corresponding month a year ago.
