The film 'Akhanda,' directed by Boyapati Sreenu and starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, has completed a 50-day run in theatres.

According to sources close to the unit, the film had achieved the feat in 103 cinemas. 'Akhanda,' which was made on an estimated budget of Rs 200 crore, is thought to be the highest ever for a Balakrishna film. This figure includes both theatrical and non-theatrical earnings.

The combo of director Boyapati Sreenu and actor Balakrishna proves their capability, as this is the third straight blockbuster the two have managed to make together, the previous two blockbusters being 'Simhaa' and 'Legend.' The producers believe that 'Akhanda' has brought in huge profits for not just the producer, but also all of the distributors. The film has also done extraordinarily well in other countries. In the United States, it recently surpassed the million-dollar threshold.

Pragya Jaiswal plays the female lead in 'Akhanda,' which also stars Srikanth as the antagonist and Jagapathi Babu in a pivotal role. It has Thaman's music and C Ram Prasad's cinematography.
