Bandh in 13 District of north Karnataka called for the demand of a separate state

Hubli, July 25: In order Highlight demand for a different state in Karnataka, the Uttara Karnataka Horata committee proclaimed for a Bandh in the state on 2nd August.

The Bandh will be executed in 13 District of north Karnataka for the demand of a separate state.

The Uttara Karnataka Horata committee President Somashekahar Kotambari claimed that the there is no reforms that were announced or nor any efforts by the ruling government to resolve Mahadaayi river water dispute.

Kotambari further informed that the committee will support the strike in Belagavi district that was called by the bishops there. He also threatened that if the reigning state government will not work on their demands then a protest in front of elected candidates’ home will be implemented, Oneindia reports claimed.

Worthy to mention here that the BJP north Karnataka's leaders are protesting against the work of JD(S)-Congress coalition government as the government neglects their concern and the same reason they have stated for the necessity of a new state.

Contrarily, the BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa stated such demands a way that will not lead to any solutions.
