Dhaka: Bangladesh claims to have developed a 'Bhashan Char Dweep' in the Bay of Bengal to settle Rohingya refugees. It says that arrangements have been made to provide all facilities, from building houses, hospitals, mosques to settling one lakh Rohingya refugees in the island. Large dams have also been built to protect the island from the crisis of floods. Let us tell you that 'Bhashan Char Dweep' was a deserted island located 30 km east of Hatia Island in southeast Bangladesh. The island was formed about two decades ago at the mouth of the Meghna River. Bangladesh's Refugee Relief and Resettlement Commissioner Mahbub Alam Talukdar, while briefing the media, has told that the speech has completed all the preparations to settle the Rohingya Muslim refugees displaced from Myanmar in the four islands and one lakh out of about 10 lakh living in Bangladesh. The refugees will soon be transported there. Bhashan Char Dweep is located 30 km east of Hatia Island in southeast Bangladesh. The Bangladesh government has developed the island at a cost of 2300 crores taka. Recently, a Bangladeshi journalist, Saleh Noman, said after inspecting there that people are slowly settling there.
