Banks will remain closed for 13 days due to these reasons

The proposed three-day strike of bank employees has been postponed this month. In spite of this, due to the festivals like Holi, Gudi Padwa, Sarhul and Ugadi in this month and 5 Sundays, banks in different areas will be closed for a total of 13 days. At the same time, the proposed three-day strike of the bank employees has been postponed from late March 11 on Saturday. Along with this, the unions of bank employees and officials decided to postpone the strike after the banks increased the salary hike offer from 12.5 per cent to 15 per cent.

Many demands will still be discussed

The Indian Banks' Association (IBA) said on Saturday that the five-day working week, Leave Encashment and other issues will continue to be discussed. If this proposed strike of the bank employees came into effect, banks would remain closed for 8 consecutive days in many areas and there was a possibility of complete collapse of many services including check clearance system.

Banks will remain closed for 13 days

Chapchar Kut is a festival celebrated in Mizoram. After harvesting, the people of the state celebrate this festival and due to this the banks of the Agal area will remain closed on March 6. After this, on 9 March, banks in Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Ranchi will not be functioning on the occasion of Holika Dahan.

March 10 holiday in most areas This year Holi will be celebrated on 10 March. Due to this, banks will leave on March 10 in most areas. Along with this, there will be a holiday in Patna region on the next day of Holi i.e. 11 March. Gudi Padwa will be celebrated in Maharashtra on 25 March. On the same day, banks will be closed in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar areas on the occasion of Ugadi, Telugu New Year, first Navratri in different states. Similarly, banks of Ranchi area will remain closed on March 27 on the occasion of Sirhul.

More holidays due to five sundays Banks will not operate due to Sunday, March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. On the other hand, banks will remain closed due to the second Saturday on March 14 and March 28.

Tackle important work Due to so many holidays in banks, it would be better for you to finish your work. Along with this, check clearance, ATM services may be disrupted due to the bank being closed.
