New Delhi: The new financial year is set to begin on April 1, 2022. On the first day of the new financial year, there is no public dealing in banks. With this, out of the total 30 days in different zones this month, 15 days of the total number of days in different zones, the banks will remain closed for 15 days. In such a situation, if you have any work related to the bank in the new financial year, then complete it as soon as possible. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) website has a complete list of holidays related to banks. In April this year, on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Ambedkar Jayanti and Sarhul, there will be a holiday in banks in different zones on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Ambedkar Jayanti and Sarhul. Banks will have a total of 15 days off next month. These include four Sundays and the second and fourth Saturdays. April 1, 2022 (Friday): On the new month and the first day of the financial year, banks in most zones will not function. This is because, on April 1, the annual closing of bank accounts takes place. April 2, 2022 (Saturday): On the occasion of Gudi Padwa/Ugadi Festival/First Day of Navratri/Telugu New Year/Sajibu Nongampamba (Charoba), banks in Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji and Srinagar zones will remain closed. April 3 (Sunday): This day is a weekly off in the banks. April 4 (Monday): Branches of banks in the Ranchi zone will remain closed on the occasion of Sarhul. April 5 (Tuesday): Banks in the Hyderabad zone will remain closed on the occasion of babu Jagjivan Ram's birth anniversary. April 9 (Saturday): On the second Saturday of the month, the banks do not function. April 10 (Sunday): Weekly Off April 14 (Thursday): On the occasion of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti/Mahavir Jayanti/Baisakhi/Tamil New Year/Charoba, Biju Festival/Bohar Bihu, all other zones except Shillong and Shimla zones will remain closed. April 15 (Friday): Banks will remain closed at places other than Jaipur, Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Good Friday/Bengali New Year/Himachal Diwas/Vishu/Bohag Bihu. April 16 (Saturday): Banks in Guwahati will not function due to Bohag Bihu. April 17 (Sunday): Weekly Off April 21 (Thursday): Banks in Agartala will not function on the occasion of Gadia Puja. April 23 (Saturday): On the fourth Saturday of the month, banks do not function. April 24 (Sunday): Weekly off April 29 (Friday): Banks in Jammu and Srinagar will not function on the occasion of Shab-e-Qadr/Jumat-ul-Vida.
