Illogical statement of Kamal Nath on power cuts, says 'bats are responsible'

Bhopal: The issue of undeclared power cuts in Madhya Pradesh is once again creating headlines. Power companies officials are so upset that during a review meeting, an official blamed the bats for the problem. Madhya Pradesh is a power surplus state. The undeclared power cut in the summer season is becoming big issue.

The Congress government, which returned to power after 15 years in power in the state, blamed the poor quality of transformers purchased during the previous BJP's tenure for disrupting power supply. Energy Minister Priyavrat Singh has told the press that during a review meeting in Bhopal district on June 14, a power company official said that the hanging of bats on the lines of the big ponds in Bhopal is causing faults.
