NEW DELHI: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on April 16 announced a hike in the prize money for all men's and women's senior domestic tournaments. This declaration increases the prize money for the Ranji Trophy winners from INR 2 crores to INR 5 crores for the upcoming 2023–24 season. The winning side of the senior women's team's one-day competition will receive INR 50 lakhs as prize money, a significant increase from INR 6 lakhs, while the losing team will receive INR 25 lakhs. "I'm happy to inform that the prize money for all domestic tournaments has increased. The domestic game of cricket, which is the foundation of Indian cricket, will continue to get investment. Ranji champions would receive 5 crores (up from 2 cr), while Senior Women winners will receive 50 lacs (up from 6 lacs). The Ranji Trophy runners-up will now receive INR 3 crores instead of the previous INR 1 crores under the amended structure. The Ranji Trophy losing semifinalist teams will now receive INR 1 crore. The Irani Cup prize money has increased from INR 25 lakhs to INR 50 lakhs, with INR 25 lakhs going to the runners-up. The Duleep Trophy winners will now receive INR 1 crore in prize money, up from INR 40 lakhs, and the runners-up will receive INR 50 lakhs. Instead of the previous season's INR 30 lakhs, the Vijay Hazare Trophy winners will now receive INR 1 crore, while the runners-up will receive INR 50 lakhs.
